Why Book Your Sharm El Sheikh Holiday with GotoBeach?

At GoToBeach, we make Sharm El Sheikh holidays easier to choose, easier to compare and easier to book. Sharm is one of Egypt's leading Red Sea resorts, famous for warm, calm water, some of the best diving and snorkelling in the world, and a huge choice of all inclusive hotels. But the resort is large and spread across several bays, and the right hotel depends very much on the kind of holiday you are after.

Our job is to match you with the right Sharm El Sheikh holiday for the way you actually travel. We work with carefully selected hotels and trusted suppliers across the Red Sea, and we focus on the details that matter before you book: which bay you are in, beach and reef access, room types, pool areas, food quality, children's facilities, adult-only sections and transfer times.

This is a destination we know inside out. Paul, our Egypt and Red Sea specialist, first visited Sharm El Sheikh in 2007 — and in his words, the resort he sees today is almost unrecognisable from the one he landed in back then. Over those years he has watched the tourism here develop at an extraordinary pace: new bays opened up, the beaches and marinas were transformed, and the standard of the hotels climbed year after year. He travels back to the region several times a year and personally inspects the hotels we feature, so when we describe a resort it is because we have been there.

Paul points to the premium chains as the real turning point. As high-end operators like Pickalbatros and Rixos invested heavily and raised the bar — bigger resorts, stronger food, better pools, water parks and entertainment — all inclusive Egypt holidays went from cheap-and-cheerful to a genuinely premium product. That step up is a big part of why Sharm became so popular with UK holidaymakers, and why so many guests now expect a high-quality all inclusive experience here as standard.

For families, Sharm is excellent. Many hotels are built around easy all inclusive resort life, with large pools, water parks, kids' clubs, family rooms and evening entertainment. We can help you find calmer bays with gently shelving beaches for younger children, or bigger resorts with more activities and sports for teenagers.

For couples, there is just as much choice — adults only hotels, quieter bays, spa-focused properties and premium all inclusive resorts where the holiday feels more relaxed and grown-up. And for divers and snorkellers, few destinations anywhere compete with Sharm's reefs, which is a major reason guests return again and again.

Every flight-inclusive package holiday booked through GoToBeach is ATOL protected under licence 11211. ATOL protection covers the financial failure of your travel company — it is not the same as travel insurance, so we always recommend arranging suitable cover as well. But when you book your Sharm holiday with us, you do so with the reassurance of a protected package and a team that genuinely knows the resort.

Whether you are looking for Sharm El Sheikh all inclusive holidays, family holidays in Sharm, adults only Red Sea hotels, a diving trip or a winter sun escape to Egypt, GoToBeach helps you compare the options clearly and book with confidence.

Discover Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh sits at the southern tip of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, where the desert meets the Red Sea. Over the last couple of decades it has grown into one of the country's most developed beach resorts, with a long run of all inclusive hotels, sandy bays, dive centres, marinas and warm, sheltered water. For UK holidaymakers it is one of the most reliable ways to enjoy sunshine, sea and resort comfort almost all year round.

Diving and snorkelling are what put Sharm on the map. The reefs here are among the finest in the world, with clear water, dramatic drop-offs and an abundance of marine life. The protected reefs of Ras Mohammed National Park and the Straits of Tiran draw divers from across the globe, while beginners and families can enjoy the house reefs found right off many hotel beaches, or join easy snorkelling and glass-bottom boat trips.

Away from the water, Naama Bay is the lively heart of the resort, with restaurants, cafés, shops and a busy evening atmosphere. The surrounding desert and Sinai mountains open up another side of the holiday, with quad biking, jeep safaris, Bedouin-style evenings and trips to St Catherine's Monastery and Mount Sinai for those who want a taste of history and landscape alongside the beach.

Best Areas in Sharm El Sheikh

Different bays suit different travellers. Naama Bay is central and lively, best if you want nightlife, dining and shops on your doorstep. Nabq Bay is popular with families and all inclusive guests who like a large, self-contained resort and don't mind being a short drive from the centre. Sharks Bay offers excellent reefs close to the action, while Ras Um Sid and the Hadaba area are known for some of the best shore diving and dramatic clifftop views. If you are weighing Egypt's two big Red Sea hubs, it is also worth comparing Sharm with Hurghada.

Best Time to Visit Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm is a year-round destination, but the best time depends on what you want. Spring and autumn are often the most comfortable, with warm weather and superb diving conditions. Winter is hugely popular for sunshine and milder temperatures, making Sharm one of the most dependable winter sun escapes within easy reach of the UK. Summer is hot, but it still works well if you enjoy high temperatures and plan to spend most of your time by the pool or in the sea.
