Kaya Palazzo Golf Resort Belek: Honest Review

Kaya Palazzo is one of those Belek properties that guests describe as beautiful before they describe anything else, and for once that is a useful starting point rather than a distraction. It occupies 650,000 square metres of pine forest between its own championship golf course and a private sandy beach, and the thing that separates it from the rest of the top tier is not the facility list — it is the atmosphere. This is the refined end of Belek rather than the loud end.

What the property actually is

A visually striking five-star on an unusually large plot, laid out through mature pine between the golf course and the sea. Six hundred and thirty-three rooms sounds substantial, and it is, but the land absorbs it in a way that a tighter Belek site cannot — the grounds are the reason guests keep using the word "beautiful".

An important structural detail: Kaya Palazzo shares its plot with its sister property, Kaya Belek Hotel, but the two operate entirely independently. Guests of each have access only to their own property's facilities. This catches people out, so be clear which one you are booking — they are neighbours, not a single resort with two entrances.

The atmosphere at Palazzo is noticeably more refined and more relaxed than next door. The entertainment programme exists but does not dominate, which makes this the right Kaya property for guests who want genuine luxury and good food alongside their activities rather than a non-stop resort atmosphere.

The golf

Kaya Eagles Golf Club is an 18-hole par-71 championship course, and its great advantage is that it is a three-minute walk rather than a shuttle ride. In Belek that matters more than it sounds — the difference between walking to the first tee and coordinating a morning transfer is the difference between playing every day and playing twice.

Cornelia Golf Club is around four kilometres away, which puts a second championship layout within easy reach for a longer golf week. As everywhere in Belek, green fees are charged separately from the all-inclusive package.

For a party where only some people play, the walk-to-the-course arrangement is particularly useful: the golfers leave and return without any of the logistics touching the rest of the group's day.

Beach and pools

Two hundred metres of private sandy beach with loungers, cabanas and a pier. It is a shorter frontage than some of the larger Belek estates offer, and in practice that is not a problem — a shorter beach for a resort of this size means it is properly serviced rather than sparsely covered.

The pool complex is where the property does something distinctive. Three outdoor pools, two indoor, an adults-only area, and a VIP pool with sand imported from the Maldives. That last one reads as marketing until you see it; the sand genuinely changes the feel of the pool surround, and it is the single feature guests photograph most.

The adults-only area is worth flagging for couples. At a 633-room resort with families present, having a designated adult space is what makes the property work for two very different guest types at once.

Food

Five à la carte restaurants alongside the main buffet, with pool and beach dining through the day. The standard is consistently high and the à la carte offer is broad enough that a week does not repeat itself.

Check two things at booking, as always in Belek: how many à la carte visits your specific rate includes, and whether any of the restaurants carry a supplement. These vary by rate rather than by hotel, and they shape the week more than most guests expect.

The Land of Legends question

At 1.5 kilometres, this is one of the closest hotels to the park, and that proximity is a genuine reason families choose it. But proximity and access are not the same thing — my colleague Thomas stayed here with his family in May 2026 and found no shuttle running to the park on the day, which meant an expensive taxi out and a walk back after six hours with children.

Rooms and where you want to be

Six hundred and thirty-three rooms and suites spread across a very large plot means position matters more here than at a compact property. The categories run from standard rooms through to suites, and the resort's visual signature — the lobby and the grounds are among the most photographed in Belek — carries into the room design more than it does at some properties where the public areas do all the work.

What I would ask for. A room in the section nearest the pool complex if anybody in the party finds walking difficult, and a higher floor if you want the pine canopy in your view rather than a path. On this estate the trees are mature enough that a ground-floor room can feel enclosed in a way that is lovely for some guests and claustrophobic for others.

Families. Ask specifically about connecting rooms rather than family rooms, for the reason that applies everywhere on this coast: two rooms with a private door between them is a materially better arrangement than one large room with a divider once children are on different bedtimes. They go first for the school holidays.

Couples. Ask how close the allocated room sits to the adults-only pool area. It is one of the property's genuine strengths and it is worth being able to reach it without crossing the family pool complex twice a day.

How it compares within Belek

Kaya Palazzo occupies a specific position in the Belek market that is worth naming, because the area's top tier is crowded and the properties are frequently quoted against each other.

Against Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort and Regnum Carya at Belek. Those two sit above it on room product and on the sheer polish of the service. Palazzo competes on setting — 650,000 square metres of genuine pine forest is more land, and more mature land, than either — and on price. For a guest who values grounds over thread count, it is the better booking.

Against Cullinan Belek Hotel and Titanic Deluxe Golf Belek. The Titanic-group pair have the stronger food operation, which is their defining advantage across the whole Belek market. Palazzo answers with a calmer atmosphere and a golf course you can walk to in three minutes rather than drive to. Which matters more depends entirely on whether your week is built around dinner or around a tee time.

Against Gloria Serenity Resort. The closest competitor on atmosphere — both are the restrained, adult-leaning options within larger family-capable estates. Gloria has the deeper golf history and the 45-hole complex; Palazzo has the more striking grounds and the shorter walk to its own first tee.

Who it suits

What to check before booking

1. Confirm it is Palazzo, not the sister hotel. The single most important check at this address.
2. Land of Legends shuttle for your dates. Distance is not the same as access.
3. À la carte allowance and supplements. Five restaurants, but not necessarily five free visits.
4. Green fees. Separate from the package, as everywhere in Belek.
5. Room position on a 650,000 m² plot. Ask for something near the pool complex if walking is a consideration.
