It is a long beach strip on the eastern edge of Antalya, dense with big ultra all-inclusive resorts, yet the old town and the cliff-top park are twenty minutes away by taxi. That combination exists nowhere else on this coast, which is why Lara sells out first.

Why Lara works for all-inclusive

Density is the point. More large inclusive resorts sit along this stretch than any comparable strip in the country, which keeps standards up and prices honest — hotels compete on à la carte restaurants, waterparks and refurbishments because a guest can walk to the next gate. The airport transfer is among the shortest in Turkey, so you lose almost nothing of day one.

Where exactly to stay

Lara runs from the cliffs on the city side out towards Kundu. The western end is closer to the promenade and the road into town, so it suits people who intend to leave the hotel; the eastern end is quieter and shades into Kundu. There is no resort centre with bars and shops — you eat in the hotel or go into Antalya.

What to know before booking

Flights and transfers. Antalya (AYT) is the airport and the drive is short, often under half an hour. Your airport transfer is included in every package.
Ask which block you are in. These are large resorts, and the gap between a main-building room and an annexe can be a five-minute walk with a pushchair in the heat.
À la carte rules vary. Some hotels allow one booking per stay, some more, some charge. I confirm the specifics before you pay.
Season. July and August are hottest, busiest and dearest. September gives the warmest sea with the schools back; May offers value with a cooler one.
Entry and cover. No visa is currently needed for short British tourist stays, but validity rules apply and requirements change — recheck the official guidance, and arrange travel insurance with medical cover, since a UK GHIC is not valid in Türkiye.

How long is the transfer from Antalya Airport to Lara?

Usually under half an hour, among the shortest transfers in Turkey and a real advantage with children or a late landing. Your transfer is included in the package.

Lara or Belek — which should we choose?

Lara for the biggest choice, the shortest transfer and easy access to Antalya. Belek for pine forest, golf and more space between hotels. Neither is better; they suit different weeks.

Is there anything to do outside the hotels?

Yes, but not on the doorstep. Lara is a hotel strip rather than a resort town, so the evening options are the promenade, the cliff-top park and central Antalya twenty minutes away.

What is the beach like?

A long stretch of sand and fine shingle that shelves gently, each hotel running its own section of loungers and bar service. It faces west across the Gulf of Antalya, which is why the evening light is so good.

Are Lara hotels good value?

Among the best value five-star all-inclusive rooms in the Mediterranean, largely because so many compete. Book early for the school holidays; May, June or October costs noticeably less.
